Property Owners’ Assistance for firefighters

This (attached) “Note to Firefighters” is designed to help us to safely protect your property after you have left due to fire danger.

You can include it in your Bushfire Plan. It can be as brief or as detailed as you wish and the idea is that you leave it on your front door or somewhere that firefighters should be able to find it. Even consider posting several copies if you have a large property.

If you haven’t yet worked out a bushfire plan it’s not too late to do it now. The “Your Bushfire Plan: the Basics” brochure will help you with this.

While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to get a fire crew to your property, or that we will contact you if we do, nevertheless we will be trying very hard to protect your assets.

Any information you provide in the attached flyer could be very valuable in assisting us in this effort.

Everything you can do to prepare your property for the fire season helps us to defend your assets in the event of a fire.

You will find all the information you require to do this on the CFA website at:

If you would like advice or assistance with your planning you can call the Bushfire Information Line on: 1800 226 226.

Thank you.
